Show Notes

We have read today’s Scripture passage together. This is what happened when Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, became king. King Solomon’s own son was Rehoboam. When King Solomon died, the people of Israel went to find Rehoboam in the region of Shechem and made one request. They made that request because the people were already utterly worn out from the work of building the temple and the royal palace. At that time Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who had fled to Egypt for refuge, returned and came before Rehoboam together with the people of Israel.
